Interested in Applying for CWDP Reciprocity?
A training program may be granted reciprocity for training programs that meet each element of the CWDP competency. Reciprocity only applies to the CWDP competency rating form. Applicants still must meet all other aspects of the credentialing process.
Just follow these easy steps to get YOUR training program approved.
Training Provider Responsibilities:
Interested training providers will submit a letter of intent expressing their desire to apply for reciprocity.
Either along with or following the Letter of Intent, the training provider must provide a complete copy of the formal curriculum, along with a $200 non-refundable review fee to NAWDP.
If available, please submit the syllabus of the training. Simply providing slides, general descriptions, or access to training is not acceptable.
Payment, Letter of Intent and curriculum may be emailed to Certification@nawdp.org or sent to NAWDP Certification, 1155 15th Street, NW, Suite 350, Washington, DC 20005.
Applications will be reviewed in a timely fashion. All information that is submitted will be treated confidentially.
NAWDP will review the curriculum and, if available, syllabus, carefully to ensure all the competency elements are covered adequately. Please note that the review will be done at the sub-competency level.
Please note: Reciprocity is valid only until the training or the competencies change.
